This two-day Geofence Investigations course is designed to teach Law Enforcement Personnel how to legally utilize and exploit Geofence based data in their current assignments. Electronic data from the Google ‘Sensorvault’ Geofence and advanced cellular “Tower Dumps” will thoroughly be discussed. Students will be shown relevant and current case studies to reinforce some of the investigative techniques taught in the course. Students will learn the most current case law that allows them to use these techniques in their investigations. The students will complete several exercises during the course to demonstrate proficiency.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
Introduction to Geofence investigations
Learning when Geofence warrants are applicable
Principles of the Google ‘Geofence’ and Cellular ‘Tower Dump’ warrants
Legal issues regarding Geofence based warrants
Writing and executing Geofence based warrants
Analyzing data to identify a suspect
Students will be given a FREE list of investigative resources in the class and shown numerous free databases/resources during the class.
