The purpose of this unit of training is to refresh the employees of the Denton Police Department on various skills and procedures required to effectively serve the community. The student will be introduced to the Signal 1 keyword, practice various aspects of effective de-escalation, explore manners of defending against non-ranged weapons, and practice intervening in situations where professional behavior is not being displayed by fellow employees.
