Volcanic Bikes Mechanic Class is a 32-hour basic mechanic’s course taught from the
Park Tool mechanic-training curriculum. Our classes are only for First Responders,
Military and Security Organizations. The class covers basic to intermediate bicycle
maintenance and repair. Upon completion of the class a student will have been trained
on basic truing of wheels and brake rotors, drive-train set up/maintenance/repair, disc
brake set up/maintenance/repair, basic suspension fork service, proper greasing and
lubing components of the bike, how to identify wear and damage to components and
frame. Students are trained to know how to perform an ABC Quick Check, Basic
Maintenance Service, and Major Maintenance Service.

Mountain Bike
Repair Stand
Tools
Upon completion of the class:
Each student will receive a Shirt, The Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair,
Certificate of completing a mechanic training course, suggested maintenanceschedules, suggested maintenance services, and a quick reference guide.
