DESCRIPTION

Students will learn the

fundamentals of bite work for

law enforcement K9 teams.

During the course, students

will learn to decoy in prey and

defense drive and channel

the drives to build a confident

reliable canine team. Sleeve

work, suit work, bite building,

problem solving, confidence

building, ground fighting, bite

targeting, and decoying for

scenario based training will

be covered.

 

Class Locations: 

Day 1 - First 4 hours will take place at the Denton County Range Classroom 9937 I35, Denton, TX. 

The remainder of the class will be held at the Denton County Fairgrounds (2217 N. Carroll Blvd., Denton, TX.

$Working Spot: $250 Audit: $100

SPECIAL NOTES

Instructed by Josh Kirby, retired law enforcement K-9 handler

and trainer, and three time PSA K9 national select decoy.

 

  1. For every student, a patrol K9 should accompany them at least for part of the class (either their own K9 or another K9 team from their agency)
  2. Every student should try to bring their own bite suit.
