This class is designed to walk officers through the process of writing a search warrant, search warrant affidavit and a search warrant return and covers the execution of search warrants and the problems associated with no-knock warrants, as well as, the proper procedure to not only write and execute warrants, but the ability to defend an executed search warrant in the court system. The attendee will be provided with a copy of the Texas District & County Attorney’s Association Warrants Manual. This manual includes a flash drive with sample warrants for most types of warrants an officer will encounter.
