This course is mandatory for all TCOLE Instructors at the Denton Police Department and for any instructors who teach in the Basic Peace Officer Course help by the Denton Police Training Academy.
This course will cover lesson plan preparation and guidelines related to lesson plans and lesson plan submission. The accreditation and compliance requirements set forth are directing some changes in workflow.
Students should bring a lesson plan, PowerPoint, and any course material for a class that THEY TEACH. There will be workshop time in the class where the students will be working on their own material. Students can bring their own laptop or iPad. There will be a limited number of laptops available for use.
