Denton PD in service training focused on improving driving skills. This is a mandatory course for all sworn personnel.
Students are responsible for ensuring the vehicle they bring to class is mechanically ready for the courses. Students need to ensure they have items appropriately stored or secured prior to class. We do not want to have loose items flying around the vehicle during training. You will be driving TEEX EVOC courses and there will be evasive maneuvers and some higher speed transitions.
Students should be operating the type vehicle they would normally operate in the performance of their assignment. i.e. patrol officers in Tahoes, detectives in their assigned vehicles, aside from pick-ups. If your assigned vehicle is a truck, please utilize a tahoe or another performance coupe for the training.

Please ensure your vehicle is in good operating condition with proper tire tread, oil level, etc. If your vehicle needs maintenance prior to attending the training, please do so.
