DESCRIPTION

This course provides female officers with the skill sets, techniques and 
knowledge required to improve firearms accuracy, mental preparation 
and confidence for surviving the fight of their lives. 
Course Overview
The Female Officer Survival course provides an opportunity to train under 
a comfortable learning environment at the range, in the gym, as well as 
in the classroom. The course will provide each student a personalized 
assessment of their particular skill sets and identify any areas that need 
improvement. In addition, the course is designed to give female officers the 
skills to engage threatening situations with confidence.

Dorcia Meador — Lead Instructor
Dorcia is a 31-year veteran of the Fort Worth Police Department and has instructed 
firearms for over 24 years. She is considered by many to be one of the best female 
shooters in the country. A four-time women’s NRA’s champion honors, Dorcia also 
holds five national records for Police Pistol Combat competitions, five in the 1500 
PPC Revolver and four national records in Police Pistol Combat semi-automatic. 
Dorcia is joined by two other instructors with similar accomplishments to make this 
program fast-paced with applicable, female-focused knowledge.
