Officers often pay a price that doesn't make the headlines on the evening news, yet one that still destroys lives. Stress, trauma, PTSD, and Suicide are Law Enforcement's Hidden Assailants. Law enforcement agencies across the country are recognizing the need to provide training programs and mental health services for officers and support staff. Training and education are keys to reduce stress, and programs such as peer support and critical incident stress debriefing teams help reduce long term traumatic effects.
This one day (8-hour) class will present a Reality-Based Model and provide students with a first hand look at Law Enforcement Stress, Trauma, PTSD, and Suicide and will provide the tools and skills to build resiliency.
